“I believe in treating the person, not just the symptoms. By understanding the body’s structure and function, we can address the root cause of dysfunction, helping individuals move and live better at every stage of life.”
Michael’s introduction to Osteopathy came through his own experience with a chronic sports injury, which healed far quicker than expected. This recovery was supported by a clear, logical explanation of why the injury had persisted, along with valuable preventative advice. This pivotal moment sparked his interest in Osteopathy’s principles and led him to embark on a five-year journey to become a qualified Osteopath. Throughout his studies, Michael developed a strong interest in treating myofascial pain, advancing osteopathic diagnostic techniques, and researching ‘dysfunctional breathing,’ which formed the foundation of his thesis.
With a background in competitive sports at a regional level, Michael has long been passionate about optimising functional movement. He firmly believes that the structure and function of the body are interconnected, and that identifying and addressing the root cause of movement dysfunction, rather than merely treating the symptoms, is essential to unlocking an individual’s full movement potential at any stage of life. To complement his Osteopathic approach, Michael has completed postgraduate training in dry needling, recognising its effectiveness in further enhancing movement function.
